Russian flag insulted in Georgia — Zakharova responds
An incident that occurred at a music festival in Georgia has sparked outrage from Russia. According to reports, Georgian singer Erekle Getsadze threw the Russian flag into a trash bin during his performance on stage and then pretended to urinate on it.

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responded to the situation. She stated that evaluating such actions from a legal standpoint falls under the jurisdiction of Russian law enforcement agencies.

On her Telegram channel, Zakharova wrote:
"A flag — no matter what kind of fool does to it — still remains a flag."

She also recalled a historical moment: it was a Georgian, Meliton Kantaria, along with Sergeant Mikhail Yegorov, who raised the Victory Banner over the Reichstag building in Berlin in 1945. Through this, Zakharova reminded people of the important pages in Georgian history connected with Russia.

According to RT television channel, the incident took place at a music festival in Tbilisi.
