Is peace near? Baku and Yerevan on the verge of agreement
Azerbaijan and Armenia are holding consultations through diplomatic channels regarding the signing of a peace agreement. This was stated by the Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council, Armen Grigoryan.

“We are currently holding consultations with Azerbaijan through diplomatic channels on signing a peace treaty,” he told journalists.

According to him, the text of the document has already been fully agreed upon. “Only the signing remains,” added Grigoryan.

He also noted that the Armenian side is ready to sign a statement on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group on the same day the peace agreement is signed.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that if the Constitutional Court does not approve the peace treaty with Azerbaijan, he is ready to initiate amendments to the Constitution.

“We must not lose the peace process. We will try to convince the public of the need for changes to achieve stable and long-term peace,” said Pashinyan at the Yerevan Dialogue Forum.

“The peace treaty must be signed — this is our main message,” he added.
