A man who won a huge fortune in the lottery in Brazil died during a dental procedure. This incident, which seemed like a cruel joke of fate, was reported by the Ultimos Segundo newspaper.

According to reports, the incident involved 73-year-old cattleman Antonio Lopez de Siqueira. He won the largest cash prize in history in the country's Mega-Sena8 lottery - 201 million reais (almost $36 million). But the luck that followed did not last long. Exactly 25 days later, the man died in a dentist's office in the city of Cuiaba, in the state of Mato Grosso.

During the investigation into the incident, police found that the amount of anesthesia used by the doctor was disproportionately high for the patient's health. It turned out that Siqueira suffered from several chronic diseases - heart disease, diabetes and hypertension. However, the doctor did not take these circumstances into account.

After the procedure, the patient remained in the waiting room for a short time, but no one monitored his condition. Shortly after, the man's heart stopped.

The local prosecutor's office opened an official criminal case for negligence and medical malpractice on the part of the doctor. According to the results of the investigation, Siqueira's death was not related to his wealth, but to medical negligence and lack of supervision.

After winning the lottery, Antonio López de Siqueira refused to give interviews to the media and stayed on the farm where he had lived, seeking peace and quiet. His neighbors and relatives described him as a simple and hardworking person.
