Russia far ahead of NATO in three months: superiority in ammunition
At the press conference dedicated to the results of the NATO defense ministers’ meeting held in Brussels, the organization’s new Secretary General Mark Rutte made a serious statement. According to him, Russia today is capable of producing in three months the amount of ammunition that all NATO member states together produce in one year.

"Events in recent years clearly show how the balance in the military field has changed. The threat from Russia is stable and long-term. We understood this even more clearly after the full-scale war against Ukraine began in 2022. Of course, the roots of these events go back to 2014, but it was in 2022 that the war took on a truly terrifying scale," — said Rutte.

According to the Secretary General, although NATO’s economy is 25 times larger than Russia’s, Moscow has achieved serious superiority in the military industry. In particular, Russia is working quickly and efficiently in ammunition production.

"We must clearly understand this: the foundation of military power is ammunition. Russia is demonstrating huge capacity in this field," — he said.

Rutte noted that these figures and analyses are a serious signal for NATO and called on the member states to more actively strengthen the defense industry, increase production volumes, and replenish reserves.

Meanwhile, Russia continues to implement its strategy in this area and is becoming one of the West’s new and serious competitors.
