U.S. President Donald Trump has openly expressed dissatisfaction with NATO’s activities.
In an interview with Fox News, he said the alliance was not sufficiently supporting U.S. interests.
According to Trump, the United States has spent large sums on NATO to ensure Europe’s security.
However, he criticized the alliance for not helping Washington in military actions against Iran.
At the same time, the U.S. leader called on European countries to unite, saying that otherwise the alliance’s future could be at risk.
