One passenger miraculously survived the Air India crash

The Air India plane crash in the western Indian state of Gujarat has captured the world's attention. Initial reports said there were no survivors. However, a new statement by the country's police commissioner, G.S. Malik, to ANI today said that rescuers have managed to find one surviving passenger.

The surviving passenger has been identified as British national Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, who was in seat 11 of the plane at the time of the crash. His name and location are clearly indicated in both the list released by the authorities and his boarding pass. Vishwas is currently undergoing medical examination and treatment in a hospital.

In a brief interview with reporters, Vishwas recalled the moments of the crash: "30 seconds after the plane took off, there was a loud noise and then the incident happened. It all happened in an instant."

According to reports, there were 242 people on board the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. Rescuers have so far recovered 204 bodies. The most tragic thing is that the number of victims may increase further, as the plane crashed into a dormitory where local doctors and medical students live. Officials say that “50 to 60” victims have been taken to hospitals.

Meanwhile, search and rescue operations related to the consequences of the crash have not stopped. Rescuers and medical services are working tirelessly to eliminate the consequences. After the tragedy, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also expressed his deep condolences to the leadership and people of India.
