The situation in the Middle East has become even more tense on the night of June 15 - a sharp clash between Israel and Iran has escalated. Both sides have officially reported that they have targeted each other with rocket and drone strikes. According to Iranian state television, more than 100 rockets and various drones were launched during the night, with the main targets being the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa.

The Israel Defense Forces also reported that a rocket attack had been detected and security sirens had been activated across the country. Air raid sirens sounded not only in Israeli cities, but also in the neighboring Jordanian capital of Amman. An hour after the start of the attack, the Israeli army's frontline command allowed residents to leave their shelters, indicating the seriousness of the situation.

Residential buildings destroyed, death toll rises

CNN reported, citing a source in the Israeli fire and rescue service, that many residential buildings in the center of the country were seriously damaged as a result of Iranian strikes. In particular, an eight-story building in the city of Dan and another apartment building in the same area were severely damaged. According to official data, a woman in her 20s and 30s was killed and seven others were taken to hospital when a two-story house in the Western Galilee region was hit.

According to local news agencies, the strikes by Iran were carried out in two waves and five people were killed and 20 were injured in the shelling of the city of Haifa. 24 people were injured in the Judean Hills. The situation in Tel Aviv is also serious - 65 people were hospitalized with injuries of varying degrees, three of whom are in serious condition, five are in moderate condition, and the rest have minor injuries.

Another 28 people were injured in the Shefela area.

The world community is concerned

The complex geopolitical situation and regional conflicts in the Middle East are behind these events. These attacks, which took place overnight, pose a serious threat not only to the victims and the destroyed buildings, but also to the peace of thousands of people. The international community hopes that this conflict will not escalate and lead to new victims.

The development of the situation and new statements by officials will determine what the situation in the Middle East will be in the coming hours.
