Iranian leader: Supporters of nuclear weapons have no place in politics
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian firmly stated that there is no place in the country's politics for those who support the creation of nuclear weapons. According to him, developing nuclear weapons is absolutely contrary to the core political views of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In his statement, Pezeshkian recalled the repeatedly reiterated position of the Supreme Leader: Iran will not possess nuclear weapons and will not pursue this path. He emphasized that those who oppose this strategy should not participate in state politics.

In recent days, there have been various rumors in parliament about the possibility of Tehran withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Although some reports said that certain deputies support this initiative, the Iranian parliament has officially denied this information. The Iranian Foreign Ministry also stated that any decision on the NPT treaty must be made by the highest authorities.

Nevertheless, official Tehran continues to declare its commitment to non-proliferation obligations. The country adheres to the position that there should be no nuclear weapons in the Middle East.

President Pezeshkian, while opposing nuclear weapons, also emphasized that Iran has the right to use atomic energy for peaceful purposes and conduct scientific research.

"We have the right to conduct research and produce energy in the nuclear field for the benefit of society. No one can take this right from us," he said.

Pezeshkian also touched on international relations, accusing the US of allowing Israel to carry out attacks on Iran. According to him, such actions are contrary to the norms of international law.

At the end of his speech, the president emphasized that Iran does not want war, but in the face of an attack, the people must act in unity.

Such strong statements in Iran are being made at a time when the political situation in the region is becoming more complicated. Currently, the world community is closely monitoring Tehran’s future practical steps.
