Iran–Russia alliance is strengthening: Abbas Araqchi heads to Moscow
The political reality in the world is becoming increasingly complex, and cooperation between Iran and Russia is rising to a new level. At a press conference with journalists within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit, Iran’s leading diplomat Abbas Araqchi made an important statement: on June 22, in the afternoon, he will fly to Moscow and plans to hold an important meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the morning of June 23.

According to Araqchi, Iran has always maintained close ties with Russia, and in the current global political situation, coordinating positions has become even more relevant. He noted that the main purpose of his visit to Moscow is to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries and discuss new political and economic issues.

Today, especially after the US airstrikes on nuclear facilities in Iran, regional tensions have increased even more. In such circumstances, Tehran and Moscow are trying to coordinate their political actions as closely as possible. At the press conference, Araqchi emphasized: “Russia is a reliable friend and strategic partner of Iran. We consult with each other on any global or regional issue.”

He also stated that Iran is constantly providing Moscow with information about the latest negotiations with the US regarding the nuclear program. This visit is expected to have a serious impact on the regional geopolitical balance. Such high-level consultations between Russia and Iran are significant not only for bilateral relations, but also for stabilizing the situation throughout the region.

The public is watching with anticipation whether this meeting will lead to new political changes in the coming days.
