American General: “Ukraine Has Enough Strength and Will for Victory”

A high-ranking US Army officer, Lieutenant General Alexus Grynkewich, with his recent statement, inspired confidence and hope regarding Ukraine’s fate. According to him, Ukraine can truly achieve victory in the war against Russia, and this is primarily connected with the unexpected determination and will of the Ukrainian people.

An Example of Confidence and Determination

According to Grynkewich, every time Ukraine faces a threat to its independence and territory, it demonstrates patience and resilience unimaginable to the entire world. “I believe Ukraine can win. Every time they are threatened, they fight with a strength that amazes the whole world,” the lieutenant general said.

This opinion differs from the position of some political groups in the US, particularly Donald Trump’s team. Trump’s associates believe there is no military solution to the war. However, Grynkewich’s perspective as an experienced military leader who believes in his words may become a major source of morale for Ukraine.

New Position and Historical Roots

Recently, Alexus Grynkewich was nominated by President Donald Trump for the position of Supreme Commander of NATO’s Combined Armed Forces in Europe. If this nomination is confirmed, he will become not only the chief commander in NATO but also the main leader of the US Army in Europe. This is considered a new stage in the agreement and cooperation between the US and NATO allies.

Grynkewich’s life and family history also deserve serious attention. His grandfather, Ilya Grynkewich, was born in Minsk at the end of the 19th century, emigrated to the United States, and started a new life there. In 1906, he married Anastasia Snigirevich, who was born in Vilnius, and they had four children. One of them, Nikolai Grynkewich, is Alexus’s direct grandfather.

Grynkewich’s father, Gregory Wayne Grynkewich (1949–2012), was a well-known engineer and inventor in the field of electronics and semiconductors in the US. He patented 14 new technologies that increased manufacturing efficiency. This family history has also had a unique impact on the personal life and outlook of the lieutenant general.
