The situation in southern Syria has become even more uncompromising — Israel’s Air Force carried out a targeted strike in Al-Suwayda province, Sham TV reported. According to the channel, the strikes were directed at the outskirts of the provincial administrative center and the village of Rima-Hazem. As a result of the attack, locations housing forces affiliated with the Syrian government and armed groups of Arab tribes were destroyed.
The situation in Al-Suwayda has long remained tense. Armed clashes between Bedouin and Druze tribes do not stop, each time bringing new casualties and threatening civilians. According to local sources, armed groups in this area are trying to maintain their influence, which is not leading to peace.
At the same time, after negotiations held in Paris, it became known that Israeli and Syrian officials agreed to resolve the Al-Suwayda issue with the mediation of the United States. Now the Americans are monitoring the fulfillment of the terms of this agreement in the region.
