On October 7, 2023, 24-year-old Israeli young man Eviatar David was kidnapped by the radical group HAMAS, and now new sensational details about him have emerged.
After days, weeks, months, and even years of disappearance, the next video of the young man — whom the whole country was waiting for with hope — has been made public, reported Haqqin.az.
The footage was recorded in a narrow and suffocating underground tunnel. In the video, Eviatar can be seen digging the ground in deep distress. Speaking to the camera, he says:
“What I am doing now is like digging my own grave,” he concludes his words with a sorrowful smile.
From his appearance, it is not hard to see that his body is exhausted and his soul is consumed by hopelessness. His face is pale, his eyes dim. The tremble in his voice reveals a person who is fighting for his beloved homeland, his family, and human life.
David also says in the video: “I haven't had a proper meal in days. My body is weak. My spirit only wants one thing — for this torment to end. Only Israel can put an end to this pain.”
These scenes once again reminded the Israeli public of the terrifying reality. The fate of one person, the pain of a whole nation, and the endless agony of a political conflict — all captured in just a few minutes of video.
It is unclear why and for what purpose HAMAS released this video. But one thing is certain — the fate of people like Eviatar David is being turned into a tool of political games.
Such incidents, which spark international debate, once again emphasize the priceless value of peace. Behind the life of one human lies the responsibility of all humanity. Observers hope these heavy pages of history will be closed with peace and justice.
