Three-year-old girl in China survives with 15-centimeter knife stuck in her head

In China, doctors performed an operation that seems beyond human comprehension: a 15-centimeter knife was successfully removed from the head of a three-year-old girl. This was reported by the South China Morning Post.

The incident occurred in August in the city of Kunming, Yunnan Province. A video circulated online showing the girl, with the knife lodged in her head, heading to the hospital with her mother. The footage drew widespread attention and sparked significant discussion.

The causes of the incident are interpreted differently. The mother, who brought the girl to the hospital, initially stated: “I was changing the bedding and accidentally swung the sheet, which caused the knife to fly into my daughter’s head.” However, one of the medical staff said: “In fact, the mother had taken the knife to scare her daughter and accidentally threw it into her head.”

Doctors quickly performed surgery and successfully removed the knife. It was reported that the girl’s condition is now stable. Specialists noted that the decisive factor was the softness of the child’s skull bones.

“If the mother had hastily tried to pull out the knife herself, the situation could have ended completely differently and tragically. Only the professional medical assistance saved the girl’s life,” said a doctor.

The case has become a serious lesson not only for China but also for the whole world. Using sharp weapons to frighten children or handling them carelessly at home can lead to dire consequences.

Undoubtedly, the girl’s survival is regarded as a miracle. At present, police and medical authorities are thoroughly investigating the circumstances of the incident.
