A Chinese father undertook one of his most beautiful and challenging journeys with the aim of developing perseverance and resilience in his children. Together with his 10-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son, he walked a total of 800 kilometers over 31 days, striving to strengthen the character of his children. This was reported by the South China Morning Post.
According to the father, he wanted to instill important life skills in his children, such as never giving up, overcoming difficulties, and completing what they start.
“My children tend to give up easily; I want them to learn to overcome difficulties and gain serious lessons,” the father said, sharing his experience.
During the journey, the father carried a 10-kilogram backpack, while the children each carried 5 kilograms, covering at least 23 kilometers per day.
“When I noticed that the children were tired, I encouraged them by saying they were stronger than their father. This further strengthened their moral and physical resilience,” the father emphasized.
In addition, during the journey, he set a daily spending limit for the children, and if expenses exceeded the limit, they had to pay the difference from their own pocket money. This helped them develop economic responsibility and money management skills.
This event sparked lively discussions on social media. Users positively evaluated the father’s methods, calling his actions “true and effective education.” Many emphasized that such exercises are necessary to strengthen children’s psychology and character.
This historic journey became a life lesson not only for the children but for the entire family, strengthened their relationships, and created a new example of parenting for other parents.
