A forest fire, which has been raging for several days near the famous and well-known palace of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the vicinity of the city of Gelenzhik, caused a great stir. This was officially reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of the Russian Federation.
A total of 550 firefighters were involved in extinguishing and controlling the fire, as well as 89 units of special equipment, including multi-purpose helicopters. They are covering the fire area and trying to stop the spread of the fire.
The main cause of the fire is cited as the fall of a Ukrainian drone. The drone crashed approximately 10 kilometers from Putin's Palace. Until now, there is no clear information whether the drone directly targeted the palace or simply landed in the surrounding forest. Therefore, Ukraine and Russia have not commented on this situation.
Alexei Navalny was the first to inform the public about this "luxury home." However, it is emphasized that the idea of Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin visiting it is difficult. According to the Russian publication "Project," Putin has also stopped visiting Sochi for security reasons, as it is also considered a dangerous area where Ukrainian drones could reach.
