During his visit to Kyiv, UK Defence Secretary John Healy announced that military aid would be provided to Ukraine using frozen Russian assets.
On Wednesday, September 3rd, the British minister announced that funds seized from the Russian Federation were spent on purchasing weapons and other military equipment worth over £1 billion.
This route has provided Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of artillery ammunition, hundreds of anti-aircraft missile systems, and spare parts for weapons, as well as the opportunity to conclude new contracts for the maintenance and repair of military equipment and vehicles, according to the UK government's official website.
It was noted that in the last 50 days, Ukraine received 4.7 million rounds of ammunition, 60,000 artillery shells, missiles and missile systems, more than 2,500 drones, more than 200 electronic warfare devices, 100 units of light weapons, 30 units of special equipment, and additional equipment for air defense from the UK.
