Man in swan costume detained at Patriarch’s Pond

An unusual scene occurred at Patriarch’s Pond in Moscow — a man in a swan costume, riding a SUP board, was detained by police, reports “Podyom”.

The participant of the action appeared wearing a mask, a winged swan costume, and a T-shirt with the inscription: “Pond for swans, not for ......”.

During the demonstration, he lost his balance and fell into the water. On the shore, police were waiting for him, drew up a protocol for petty hooliganism, and kept him overnight at the station. Now he faces a fine of up to 1000 rubles or up to 15 days of arrest. The court hearing will take place on September 8, Monday.

The initiator of the action introduced itself as PointBreak, a SUP board manufacturer.

“We aimed to protect waterfowl. ‘We are also walking on the same water’, said a company representative. According to him, the freedom of swans at Patriarch’s Pond is restricted, and they are constantly disturbed by strollers. Therefore, this performance was carried out as a symbol of supporting swans’ rights.”
