Trump: Russia is deliberately prolonging the conflict in Ukraine

According to U.S. President Donald Trump, Russia has no intention of ending the ongoing war in Ukraine; instead, it is deliberately prolonging it.

He emphasized that the prolongation of the war poses a serious threat not only to Ukraine but also to global security as a whole.

According to the American leader, every time the parties try to achieve success in negotiations, Russia takes actions that obstruct reaching an agreement. Trump described such behavior as absolutely unacceptable.

“Every time I think we are getting close to it, he goes and bombs someone again — this is absolutely unacceptable,” Trump said.

On Tuesday, the American leader stated that he still plans to bring an end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

According to him, resolving the conflict seemed “the easiest” for the United States, but at the level of heads of state — Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky — the situation has become complicated “due to mutual hostility.”
