Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has appealed to the countries that "havened" the participants in the bloody terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, demanding that they be extradited or brought to justice. He stressed that if the countries themselves do not fulfill this task, Israel will certainly do so.
"And I appeal to Qatar and all the countries that shelter terrorists: extradite them or hold them accountable. If you do not do this, we will," Netanyahu said in a speech published on the official website of the Israeli government.
At the same time, he mentioned Qatar as the first country to be hit by Israel. On September 9, an Israeli missile was fired at the territory of this country, targeting a location belonging to the Hamas leadership. As a result of this attack, representatives of the Palestinian movement who were participating in indirect negotiations on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip were killed.
Netanyahu's speech was delivered at a ceremony commemorating the victims of the September 11, 2000 terrorist attacks in the United States. He compared that event to the Hamas attack on Israel. According to the Israeli leader, Israel's attacks against terrorists are no different from the US's pursuit of al-Qaeda members in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
According to Netanyahu, Israel does not ask anyone for permission to protect its citizens and will not hesitate to take drastic measures in this direction.
