Trump met with Qatar’s prime minister

U.S. President Donald Trump met with Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani in New York. The meeting took place after Israel carried out an attack against Hamas leaders in Doha.

Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, expressed dissatisfaction with the attack, and told Qatar that such a situation would not be repeated.

The Qatari prime minister also met with U.S. Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The talks focused on mediation in the region and security issues.

Qatar remains an important mediator in establishing a ceasefire in Gaza, the release of hostages, and post-war plans. Al-Thani emphasized that Qatar would not give up its role.
