Russian jets violated Estonian airspace
The Estonian government said that Russian military aircraft violated its airspace. According to officials, three MiG-31 jets entered Estonian territory over the Gulf of Finland and remained there for 12 minutes.

During the incident, Finnish and Swedish jets took off, while Italian F-35 fighters stationed in Estonia escorted the Russian aircraft out of the area. Russia denied the accusations, saying the jets complied with international regulations.

The Estonian prime minister stressed that NATO must respond firmly and jointly to such confrontational actions. He said consultations with allies on the situation are necessary.

Recently, Poland and Romania also reported that Russian drones had violated their airspace. In response, NATO is strengthening troops and aircraft in Eastern Europe.
