A heartbreaking tragedy occurred during the harvest in the German city of Troyen, located in the federal state of Saxony. According to police, the 85-year-old man fell into a corn grinder and died at the scene from his injuries.
According to reports, the equipment was operated by a 39-year-old farmer. He had been cleaning the cornfield since morning. At that moment, the old man disappeared into the log and, without stopping the combine, dragged it into himself.
Immediately after the incident, rescue services and medical personnel arrived at the scene. However, despite all their efforts, it was not possible to save the old man's life.
Experts emphasize that such situations once again demonstrate the need to pay serious attention to safety regulations in agriculture. It is especially important for adult citizens to stay away from machinery and strictly observe precautionary measures during the harvest.
