Deadly typhoon nears the Philippines

In the Philippines, the super typhoon “Ragasa” is approaching. Due to the threat of strong winds and heavy rains, thousands of people have been evacuated to safe areas. Experts describe the typhoon as “catastrophic.”

With wind speeds reaching 230 kilometers per hour, the storm is expected to hit the northern islands. Warnings have been issued about possible flooding and landslides.

Schools and government offices in the capital Manila and other regions have been closed. There is a high risk of damage to homes and infrastructure.

The typhoon will later head toward southern China. Preparations are also underway in China and Hong Kong for strong winds and heavy rains.
