The Guinness World Records official website announced that the world's most expensive coffee was prepared and offered to customers at the Roasters Specialty Coffee House in Dubai.
According to the data, the price of one cup of coffee was 2500 dirhams, which is approximately 680 US dollars. The identity of the buyer who consumed such an expensive drink has not been disclosed.
It is noted that Arabica grains of the Geysha variety, grown on the Hacienda La Esmeralda farm in Panama, were used to make the unique coffee. This variety is valued as one of the most prestigious types of coffee in the world due to its high-quality taste, unique smell, and unique properties.
Officials emphasized that the high cost of this coffee is explained by the scarcity of grains used in it and the extreme complexity of the growing process. The variety of geisha doesn't always yield a large harvest, therefore its price in the market is several times higher than usual.
This cup of coffee, made in Dubai, aroused great interest among coffee lovers worldwide not only due to its price but also due to its inclusion in the official Guinness World List.
Thus, this event is causing heated discussions not only in the coffee market but also in the gastronomic world.
