A European Union leaders’ summit was held in Copenhagen. Denmark strengthened security and temporarily banned drone flights. These measures were taken after last week’s drone incidents.
At the summit, the “drone wall” plan was discussed. Poland, Estonia, Britain, Sweden, the United States and other countries supported a joint defense system against drones. Germany also sent a warship to Copenhagen.
The leaders of Denmark and Sweden called Russia the main threat. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also said it was necessary to protect Europe’s skies.
The meeting also discussed strengthening Europe’s defense and providing aid to Ukraine.
