Aziz Akhanush: Youth urged to resolve their grievances through dialogue

Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhanush announced his readiness for dialogue to end the youth protests that have spread across at least 11 cities of the country. According to him, the only way to solve all problems is open dialogue.

Akhanush noted that the government has responded to the demands put forward by the youth and is ready for negotiations.

For reference, the protests initiated by the Gen Z 212 movement initially began with demands for reforms in the education and healthcare systems. Later, they also opposed the large budget expenditures for preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, during the unrest, 3 people were killed and more than 350 were injured.
