A mysterious planet with record growth has been discovered in space

Scientists encountered a striking sight in the constellation Chameleon, located 620 light-years from Earth. The planet Cha 1107-7626 began to attract cosmic matter and dust at tremendous speed. Scientists even assessed this condition as "record-level accretion."

This planet is an independent celestial body, not part of the star system. Normally, such objects accumulate matter slowly, but this time an anomalous growth was noted. According to experts, the gravity of the substance increased eightfold and reached its peak in August.

Currently, it is 5-10 times larger than Jupiter. Chief Researcher Dr. Victor Almendros-Abad noted that this is the strongest growth process observed on planets of this type. Scientists recorded this discovery using the Eva Southern Observatory and the James Webb telescope.

Interestingly, it was discovered that water vapor formed around the planet, and the magnetic field "pushed" the substance from the disk. Previously, this phenomenon was observed only during the formation of stars.

Scientists are still debating the reason for this rapid growth. Some assume the influence of neighboring objects, while others assume internal processes within the nebula. However, it is clear that new observations are blurring the boundary between planets and stars.

In reality, this discovery proves that large gas giants, like stars, are formed according to general laws.
