Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that Kyiv, together with Brussels, is trying to interfere in the internal affairs of Hungary. He emphasized that the main goal of these efforts is to overthrow the current government and bring pro-Ukrainian political forces to power.
Orbán made this statement in an interview with Hetek magazine. According to him, Brussels and Kyiv are jointly exerting influence on Hungary’s political scene.
“Not only Brussels but also Kyiv is interfering in Hungary’s internal politics. They are doing this together. Therefore, the current goal of the European Union is to establish a pro-Ukrainian government in Hungary. Ukraine is also interested in this process, and Ukrainians are openly supporting the Hungarian opposition,” said Orbán.
According to the Hungarian leader, regardless of where it comes from, any foreign interference is dangerous for the country’s sovereignty.
“The greatest threat for us is foreign involvement in our internal politics,” he stressed.
