The 17-year-old girl, Aisuluv, was taken to an apple orchard near the village of Darkhan at around 1:00 p.m. on a sunny day and raped there. The victim was then taken to her father’s house in the village of Jenish, where she was raped again.
At 3:30 p.m., in the area of the village of Koji-Sai, the suspect strangled Aisuluv to death and then threw her phone into Issyk-Kul and left her there. He put the body in a car and drove to the Boom Gorge. Between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., he left the body in its original place near the village of Cholok in Kemin and drove towards Bishkek.
At around 6:00 p.m. that same evening, Aisuluv’s relatives reported her missing. At sunset, her family became worried and began a search.
Then, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that the suspect, Kumarbek Abdirov, had been detained shortly after. An investigation into his involvement in the crime is currently underway. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Abdirov may be connected to similar crimes, one of which was the incident committed against 18-year-old Kamila Duysheboyeva in 2014.
Abdirov was born in 1984. He was born in the Yetti-Oguz district, but grew up in Bishkek. He is married and has three children: 14, 9 and 7 years old.
He has previously been prosecuted:
- In 2006, he was fined for robbery, which was related to an attack on women.
- In 2016, he was investigated for attempted murder.
In 2006, he hit a girl in the head in Kok-Jar and stole her phone. There are still legal cases and sentences in connection with the tax incident. At that time, the victim and her relatives protested that he remained at large.
In 2015, another woman left with him in a Honda Stream car and did not return that day; the investigation alleged that she was raped. Later, the police conducted inquiries into this case.
During the trial, some individuals spoke about the fact that the suspect committed the crimes through taxi services.
This incident brought to life many questions and difficult emotions. The outcome of the investigation and the court verdict will be closely watched by the public in the future.
