The birds were evacuated from the burning barn near Lübertsy.
In the settlement of Oktyabrsky near Moscow, firefighters evacuated pigeons from a burning warehouse and provided them with first aid. This was reported by the Moscow Regional Fire and Rescue Service.
On October 18, rescuers arrived at the call unaware of the presence of birds in one of the smoke-filled rooms of the burning building. During the firefighting process, the firefighters identified the pigeons and immediately evacuated them.
First aid was then provided to the birds. To protect the pigeons from carbon monoxide poisoning, they were given small oxygen masks.
All rescued pigeons were returned to their owners by rescuers.
