In China's Zhejiang province, a babletti enthusiast ordered a special gold pipe for 14,000 dollars (approximately 1.1 million rubles) for the drink and lost it. The South China Morning Post writes about the man's story.
According to the man, he ran over the sewer hatch one night while riding home on a moped. At that moment, the pipe fell out of his trouser pocket. The man noticed this, stopped, and searched for his tube for an hour.
After the independent searches reached a dead end, the bablette enthusiast decided to call the police. The two policemen were surprised that the man asked for help in finding the golden tube, but decided to help him. Half an hour later, they found a tube lying on the sidewalk, about 100 meters from the sewer hatch.
As a result of the incident, the gold tube was damaged, so the man said he would melt it again and make another one next summer. He added that he no longer carries babletti tubes in his pocket.
