A photograph of a lion with curly mane taken in Kenya’s famous Maasai Mara National Reserve has gone viral on the internet.
The photo was captured by wildlife photographer Kambiz Cameo Purghanad and has been described as one of his most unique shots. The lion in the picture is named Nzuri M6 — he is the son of Olepolos and was previously part of the Topi Pride group. He is now one of the leaders of a new coalition of seven male lions.
The lion’s naturally curly mane and distinctive appearance have drawn the attention of many social media users. According to the photographer, “Nzuri is one of the most beautiful lions in Maasai Mara and can stand alongside African icons such as Bon Jovi or Blondie.”
Although Kambiz Cameo is a pilot by profession, his passion for nature has led him to spend years photographing wildlife. He noted that this shot is “one of the rarest and truly breathtaking examples of natural beauty.”
Experts believe that such photographs bring people closer to nature and inspire them to rediscover the charm of wildlife.
