Russia today, on November 27, successfully launched the spacecraft “Soyuz MS-28” from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. “Sputnik Kazakhstan” reported that the “Soyuz 2.1a” launch vehicle was launched at 14:28 Tashkent time.
On board the spacecraft are two Russian cosmonauts — experienced commander Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Mikayev, who is going to space for the first time, as well as NASA representative Christopher Williams.
According to the plan, after making two orbits around the Earth, the “Soyuz” will automatically dock with the “Rassvet” module of the International Space Station. The crew will conduct scientific work on the ISS for eight months.
Their return to Earth is scheduled for the end of July 2026.
