Mass execution in Afghanistan: 80,000 people watched

In Afghanistan, in the province of Khost, the "Taliban" government carried out a public execution. Around 80,000 people attended the ceremony, where the convicted person was executed. The verdict was reviewed and approved by the Supreme Court in several stages and then endorsed by the leader of the "Taliban." Since the family of the convict rejected the offer of forgiveness, the sentence was carried out. The UN and human rights organizations have criticized the continuation of the death penalty in Afghanistan. Critics argue that the judicial system of the "Taliban," which restricts the involvement of lawyers in court proceedings, does not comply with international standards.
