US President Donald Trump commented on the meeting of his special representative Steve Whitkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, stating that the meeting was "very good." According to Trump, Putin expressed his desire to end the war, trade with the US, and "return to normal life."
"But I can't say what will come of this meeting - two people are needed to dance the tango," Trump said.
Trump also emphasized that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has no trump card to win the war and spoke about the opportunities he has. Trump, who then said it was a good time for an agreement, noted that the Ukrainian side has not restored its capabilities and there are many things that can now be used against them.
According to Trump, Ukraine does not have a strong position in the negotiations, and there are several indications regarding this situation. On December 4, a new negotiation period will begin in Miami, during which Whitkoff and Kushner will meet with the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov.
This meeting is a continuation of diplomatic actions between the US, Russia, and Ukraine. Trump's testimony reflects the current state of international relations.
