Social networks for children under 16 may be banned in Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, children under 16 may be banned from creating social media accounts. This ban applies to video hosting, social networks, and other large online platforms.

The government plans to make this decision to protect children from "bad content." In this case, only messengers are excluded, that is, children will be able to use these platforms.

According to the information, the draft law has been revised several times and more than 80 amendments have been made. The updated rules may come into force next year.

Officials emphasized that these new measures are aimed at ensuring children's safety online and supporting their healthy development.
