New requirement for entry into Georgia

Starting from January 1, a new regulation has come into effect for all citizens planning to travel to Georgia. According to the country's National Tourism Administration, having medical insurance is now mandatory for crossing the border.

Officials state that tourists arriving without insurance may be denied entry or may face additional requirements.

The new rule is aimed at ensuring the safety of travelers and reducing issues related to unexpected medical expenses.
