US President Donald Trump made another sharp statement regarding the inspection conducted at the Mar-a-Lago residence. According to him, FBI officers went too far during the investigation and violated the boundaries of private territory.
According to Trump, he himself had quite serious problems at the time, but the federal agents, in his opinion, allowed completely unreasonable actions. In particular, they checked not only the documents but also the personal cabinets belonging to the president's wife in the Mar-a-Lago apartment.
"I had more serious problems. These beasts wanted to attack me in Mar-a-Lago, they broke into my wife's wardrobe. And I'll say that it sounds very bad and a bit strange: they were looking for his boxes. He is a very tidy person. Her underwear is neatly folded and wrapped. He is perfect. I would say this is wonderful. You know which part of the world she came from (the first lady of the USA was a model in the past). Everything was in order. There are no problems," Trump said.
The President also assessed this situation as an open interference in private life and emphasized that such a method of inspection is unacceptable. In his opinion, without detecting any violations of the law, such actions are aimed only at exerting pressure and discrediting.
Using this incident as an example, Trump also indicates that the Mar-a-Lago raid further fueled debates about law enforcement interference in US political processes. He said that "everything was fine," and no serious problems were found as a result of the inspection.
