The guy who set Ronaldo’s statue on fire in Portugal has been found

In front of the CR7 museum located on Portugal’s Madeira island, a strange incident that shook the public was observed. An unknown person attempted to set Cristiano Ronaldo’s statue on fire. It is reported that he recorded the incident on video and then also showcased it on social networks. UOL reported this.
According to the information, the man posted the video on his Instagram page, wrote in the caption, “This is God’s final warning,” and tagged Cristiano Ronaldo’s official account. Both his message and his actions raised various questions among many people.
In the video, it is clearly seen that the young man pours a flammable liquid onto Ronaldo’s statue and then sets it alight. After that, he turns on music and starts dancing. However, the fire did not last long — the flames soon died down and went out. It is said that the statue did not suffer serious damage and no major harm was recorded.
It is worth recalling that this statue is installed in the city of Funchal on Madeira island, which is considered the birthplace of the Portuguese footballer. This place is one of the points most frequently visited by tourists. The statue in front of the CR7 museum is constantly in the spotlight for that very reason. The museum itself displays Ronaldo’s achievements during his career, portraits, and personal items.
According to Portugal’s “Correio da Manhã,” the Madeira island Public Security Police (PSP) has already identified the person who committed the incident. It is noted that he had previously been known for similar acts.
