What crimes are Uzbek citizens suffering the most from in Turkey?

Citizens of Uzbekistan living or working in Turkey are most often victims of fraud and human trafficking crimes. This was announced by the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, Sherzod Abdunazarov, in an interview with Qalampir.uz.
According to him, the territorial district of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul includes, along with the city of Istanbul, the regions of Aydin, Balikesir, Bilecik, Bursa, Izmir, Kojayeli and others, as well as Bulgaria and Romania.
The diplomat noted that in these regions, in particular in Bulgaria, the crime rate by Uzbeks is significantly lower compared to representatives of other nationalities.
At the same time, due to the large number of Uzbeks in Turkey and the 90-day visa-free regime in the country, there are people who commit crimes in Uzbekistan and flee to Turkey. In addition, there are also problematic situations related to citizens residing without an official residence permit.

It is reported that the largest share of victims falls on crimes related to fraud and human trafficking. Especially among Uzbekistanis who are victims of human trafficking, there are crimes related to channels of illegal exit to the USA and European countries.
At the same time, it was noted that official statistics on cases related to crossing into Syrian territory through Turkey have significantly decreased recently.
