Strikes against Iran in the Middle East at a dangerous new stage: a counter-strike is imminent
The situation in the Middle East escalated again on February 28. Israel officially announced the start of a pre-strike military operation against Iranian territory, while Reuters wrote that this attack was coordinated with the US. This event immediately brought the tension in the region to a new and more dangerous stage.
Against the backdrop of initial reports, explosions were reported in Tehran. According to international sources, loud explosions were heard in various parts of the capital, and thick smoke rose into the sky in some places. So far, fully independent confirmed information about all targets of the strikes, the scale of destruction, and casualties has not been disclosed.
According to reports, the attacks targeted Iran's political, military, and nuclear infrastructure. Some publications report that government buildings, security agencies, and strategic facilities were targeted. However, since not all of these details have been fully and unequivocally confirmed so far, we must approach the situation with caution.
The Israeli side attributes this action to the early elimination of potential threats. Internal emergency measures were tightened, air raid sirens were activated, airspace was closed, and the population was warned to prepare for possible retaliatory strikes. This indicates that Tel Aviv is very seriously assessing the possibility of a counterattack.
Sharp statements were also made on the American side. According to Reuters, Donald Trump and his administration are citing the threat from Iran as the main reason. There are also reports that this decision was made after diplomatic efforts regarding Iran's nuclear program did not yield the expected results.
The Iranian side, however, points to the possibility of a retaliatory strike. For now, the process of issuing full and detailed official statements from Tehran is ongoing, but depending on the situation, there is a high probability that harsh rhetoric about retaliatory measures will intensify. Therefore, the entire region has switched to a state of high military and political vigilance.

However, not all of them have yet been equally verified by reliable sources. Therefore, the most accurate conclusion at this stage is that the strikes involving Israel and the US have triggered a real military escalation against Iran, and the Middle East is once again on the brink of great instability.
