On March 13, Kubanychbek Kapalov, Deputy Head of the Bailiffs Service under the Prosecutor General's Office of Kyrgyzstan, shot himself in Bishkek. This was reported by 24.kg.
According to reports, the police received a report that a body with a gunshot wound was found inside a car on Kozhomberdiyev Street in the village of Chon-Ariq. An investigative team arrived at the scene and found that a man born in 1981 died from a firearm in a GAC car.
Later, the identity of the deceased was established, and it was confirmed that he was Kubanychbek Kapalov, Deputy Head of the Bailiffs Service under the Prosecutor General's Office.
During the investigation, police officers seized a 12-gauge IJ-18 rifle, cartridges, a cartridge case, two telephones, and a farewell letter as evidence. The preliminary forensic examination revealed a gunshot wound to the victim's chest.
According to preliminary information, the official may have committed suicide due to debt obligations. A criminal case has been initiated under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan, and the investigation is ongoing.
