Trump says: naval blockade of Iranian ports is intensifying

US President Donald Trump stated in a post on his Truth Social platform that a full-scale naval blockade around Iranian ports has begun. According to him, US Navy forces are currently strengthening control in the region and sharply restricting access to Iran’s maritime routes.
In his statement, Trump also claimed that Iran’s naval forces have been almost completely destroyed and described them as “lying at the bottom of the sea.” He further said that 158 ships were destroyed during military operations in the Middle East.
According to the President, the remaining part — the so-called “fast strike” small vessels — has not yet been destroyed, as they were not considered a serious threat.
Trump also emphasized that if these vessels approach the declared blockade zone, force will be used immediately against them and they will be destroyed. He stated that the US may apply the same harsh methods previously used against drug traffickers at sea.
“This is fast and ruthless. 98.2% of drugs entering the United States by sea have been stopped!” Trump said.
Starting from April 13, US naval forces plan to block access to Iranian ports and detain any vessels that have paid Iran for safe passage. Trump also stated that other countries may participate in this process, but so far none have officially joined the initiative.
The situation remains tense, and this statement may lead to new diplomatic discussions on the international stage.
