The official representative of Iran’s armed forces issued a sharp and firm statement regarding any potential attempt of ground incursion into the country’s territory. According to him, in line with the instructions given by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Amir Hatami, strict measures will be taken against any attacking side in such a situation, and the position has been stated that “not a single aggressor will be left alive.”
The statement also claims that an attempted incursion by the United States took place in the southern part of Isfahan province. Iranian military forces report that this attempt was successfully prevented in time.
According to available information, during the operation the Iranian side carried out a counterstrike, which led to the withdrawal of US military forces. It is also reported that a military aircraft of the C-130 type was targeted.
As a result of the incident, it is said that 4 Iranian servicemen were killed. Among them were a general, an air defense specialist, and the commander of a military training institution Masoud Zarei.
Iranian officials have described the fallen soldiers as “martyrs” and separately emphasized their courage and service.
At present, there is no information about any official statement from the United States regarding this incident.
According to analysts, such strong statements may further escalate tensions in the region and increase the risk of a potential large-scale conflict.
