US frequently changes position in negotiations — Ismoil Bagai

An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, has criticized the United States for its inconsistent stance in ongoing diplomatic negotiations. He stated that Iran remains committed to its agreements, while accusing the U.S. of frequently shifting positions and failing to honor its commitments. This lack of stability in the U.S. approach is undermining trust and complicating the negotiation process between the two countries.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei expressed critical views regarding the negotiation process conducted by the United States. According to him, the Americans are not demonstrating a stable and clear position in the current diplomatic dialogue.
Baghaei emphasized that Iran has never gone to negotiations and then reneged on its commitments. He stated that Tehran always strives to remain faithful to agreements.
However, the US side does not demonstrate such an approach. In the spokesman's opinion, the Americans frequently repeat the pattern of adopting a decision in negotiations and then changing it afterward.
"We have never said we would go and then break our commitments; usually, the US does that. They (the Americans) constantly change their positions," said the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman.
He also noted that Iran has not yet made a final decision regarding its participation in the next round of negotiations. Analysis and discussions on this matter are ongoing.
Overall, the situation indicates that the issue of trust between the parties remains complex. The lack of a stable position in the diplomatic process could further complicate reaching agreements.
