15 police officers killed in terrorist attack in Pakistan

A bloody attack in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, located in northwestern Pakistan, has further exacerbated the country's security situation. In terms of the number of casualties, the incident is considered one of the most severe terrorist attacks in recent times.
According to the Dawn newspaper, citing local officials, the attack was carried out against a police post in the Bannu district. Terrorists drove a vehicle packed with explosives into the post, causing a massive blast. Following the explosion, the attackers opened fire from several directions, further complicating the situation.
Regional police spokesperson Sajjad Khan stated that a total of 18 police officers were on duty at the post during the attack. As a result, at least 15 were killed, and the others are reported to have sustained injuries of varying severity.
Due to the powerful explosion, the police post was almost completely destroyed. Additionally, an armored vehicle located in the area was destroyed, and surrounding buildings suffered serious damage.
Officials announced that rescue operations have concluded and stated that security measures in the area have been strengthened. Additional checkpoints have been established, and the situation is now under full control.
