Electric Car Catches Fire During Charging in Tashkent

On April 10, a Zeekr electric car caught fire while charging in Tashkent, Nova24.uz reported.

The incident occurred at 07:30 on Furqat Street in the Chilanzar district. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, fire brigades arrived at the scene at 07:35, and the fire was fully extinguished by 08:28.

The cause of the fire was determined to be a battery compartment ignition in the electric vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Officials explained that EV batteries store a significant amount of energy, and according to international standards, cooling the battery until it is fully discharged is required in case of fire.
