BYD’s hybrid SUV with drone and karaoke shocks even Tesla fans

BYD has launched preorders for its flagship hybrid SUV, the Sea Lion 07DM-i, speedme.ru reported.

The model comes in six trims, priced between 189,800 to 229,800 yuan. It features a 1.5T petrol engine and an electric motor with a combined output of 160 kW and 380 Nm torque. Fuel consumption is just 4.7 l/100 km, with a driving range of up to 1320 km.

A standout feature is the optional Lingyuan drone, capable of reconnaissance, photo/video capture, and returning to the vehicle. It rides on an adaptive suspension system called YunNian-C.

The interior offers karaoke, a fridge, 12-speaker Dynaudio, voice commands, W-HUD, and DiLink100. Safety is bolstered by lidar-assisted autopilot and a smart "Guardian" mode.
