In 2019, Jay-Z made history as the first hip-hop artist to become a billionaire. His net worth increased sharply in 2023 — from $1.4 billion to $2.5 billion. Most of this fortune did not come from music but from business. In particular, besides his Roc Nation label, he owns cognac and champagne brands, as well as shares in Uber.
