Disney has revealed the initial details of the third part of the famous “Frozen” movie, scheduled to be released in 2027. According to the announcement, viewers will witness not only a royal wedding but also the mysterious arrival of a new family member in Arendelle.
The synopsis was presented at a Disney conference in Shanghai and has already sparked considerable interest. It states:
“In this new chapter, Queen Anna walks along the aisle while Elsa joins a mysterious and challenging magical journey. Meanwhile, Arendelle hosts the wedding of the century. And most exciting of all: the royal family is preparing to welcome a new, mysterious member.”
Who exactly this “new member” is remains a secret. Fans are making various guesses: it could be Anna and Kristoff’s child, an unexpected romantic interest for Elsa, or even the arrival of a completely new magical being. If it is a child, this would be a major first in Disney history — for the first time in 25 years, a princess on the big screen will become a mother. The last time something similar happened was in the 2000 film “The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea,” which was released only as a home video.
As a reminder, at the end of “Frozen 2,” Anna became the Queen of Arendelle and accepted Kristoff’s proposal, while Elsa decided to remain his protector in the enchanted forest. Disney also confirmed that a fourth installment of the franchise is in development, but details have not yet been released.
